Old 17" MBP to give away

I have circa 2006/7 17" MBP to give away, I'm told the motherboard is cactus, it no longer works.
If it's repairable, it will need a battery.
A new 500GB HDD was fitted not long before it failed and from memory, I think the RAM is only 4GB and I was told it could not be expanded.
I'll mail it to whoever might want it on a COD basis from my home in NSW Australia.

You probably would be better off donating it to the Salvation Army of Australia. They will attempt to repair it if they think it's worthwhile. Much easier than packing it up and mailing it COD hoping the recipient will pay the postage.

Post it on eBay (or similar for sale site). Someone will almost certainly want it for parts…and you may make some $$$ as well.

Or post it for free locally.
