* clears throat*matthew said:ive just got a quick question for you guys. i had a i book before i bought my g5, and when i was setting the g5 up i just moved everything from the ibook to it. it worked really well, but now in the top right corner of the g5 i have the battery icon that tells me how much battery is left. obviously, the g5 has no battery but i cant figure out how to make that thing go away. any ideas?
first off, you're quite lucky anything works at all, you CAN NOT just drag everything to a new computer, even if they were both ibooks. if problems aren't already showing up, they most likely will, especially since by the sound of it, you dragged parts of the system onto the g5, the only thing you really can do this with is files you created and some things in the home folders library, like mail and safari info, and a few things in the library directly in the macintosh hd.
as far as removing the battery icon, the suggestion given should work. has the battery ever drained totally? I wonder what would happen?
