All my documents in Numbers and Pages won't open. If I try an open a document it says Numbers or Pages can't open this document. The documents are in iCloud. My iMac is running Yosemite 10.10.1.
On the the other hand I have no problems opening them with my iPad or iPhone.

Which version of Numbers and Pages do you have on your iMac? If you're using an older version of iWork you will not be able to open any iWork documents created on your iPad or iPhone.

Numbers version 3.5 (2109)
Pages version 5.5.1 (2111)
They both have updated from the app store.

Those are the latest versions and should be able to open any of your Pages and Numbers documents. OK, do this:

Open System Preferences, click on the iCloud icon. When iCloud opens, make sure your iCloud drive option has a check in the box. If it does, click on options for the iCloud drive. When that opens, make sure that Pages, Numbers, Keynote, and any other apps you use have a check in the box next to them.

If you've done all that and you still can't open the Pages and Numbers documents from your Mac, go back and make sure your iCloud documents are not corrupt. I'm assuming that you're trying open those documents from your iCloud drive and that you actually saved them to the iCloud drive from your iPad or iPhone?

Ok, I did what you said and the boxes were already checked. Most of the documents were created on my iPad and the rest the iMac.
Still can't open anything. Some of those were created under iOS 7 if that makes a difference.

Check to see which version of Numbers and Pages you have on your iPad and iPhone. Creating the documents in iOS 7 shouldn't matter. What might matter is if you created those documents with an older version or the iOS beta version of Numbers and Pages.

On both iPhone 5s and iPad Air and both are updated to iOS 8.1.1
