not loading

hello

mac book pro OS 10’5

i tried to up date to 10.6 i inserted the disk [ snow leopard ]
i got the apple sign , the whell , then nothing .
i tried to clean the PRAM [ opr + cmd+ P + R + depresser start .
i got one gong only , then a sonre beep tone .

What is your computer and was this working okay before installation? Could be confused with the boot up having two and trying feed off them both information. You need to make sure the DVD can be read off the Macbook first to see if there no problems reading.

the machine is Mac pro book
the disk up date is snow leopad 10.6 witch i cannot eject and
the machine was doing fine before this manipulations
