Everything seems fine with the proxies, DNS etc.

Yes, I have reset Safari.

There is no firewall software at all. Nothing that didn't come on it from Apple.

I will work on some screen shots.

Home page loaded quick and easy just like any other website...

One of the sections of the board, took about 10-15 mins to load.

Index actually loaded for me this time, quick and easy...

Then it loaded one of the sections of the board in about 5mins or so, and seemed to be alright.

And here was the result of trying to load a particular topic...

It seems to be a lot like a stiff door hinge, the more you play with it the gets. Makes no sense to me though.

Hmmm..... I wonder if if is your account on their site that is messed up. The error message could be a problem with the database on their end rather than yours. Have you tried creating a new account to see if that works? You might start there...

It seems to work the same whether I'm logged in or not. And it works fine on the PC regardless of me being logged in or out. I will try to create a new account though.

EDIT

I try the website several times a day to see if there is any improvement, and I'm pleased to see that somehow its getting better. It will now load the index and all sections of the forum perfectly, and fast as if everything was normal. But it is still not loading individual topics within the sections.

This is a weird one for sure... The only other thing that I can think of is to make a back up of your data and reload the OS but it just not be worth it to do this over one web site and it is not guaranteed to fix the problem.

I tried to create a new account but it will not load the page after the agreement page.

I think what's happening is a DNS issue (as has been previously suggested). Why don't you try this before doing anything drastic:

Open System Preferences, Network. Click on the "Advanced" tab at the bottom of the dialog. Now click on the DNS tab.

You should be showing at least one address - and it may be grayed out. That would be your router. Under the box where it says "DNS Servers" add these addresses: (press the small + to add) 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222 (These two addresses are for OpenDNS - a free server)

OK your way out of the dialog and Network preferences. Reboot your router by turning it off and on again. Also reboot your machine.

Try the Hi-Lifter forums again to see what happens. If that doesn't resolve the problem, then I suspect it's on their end and not much else you can do.

In case you're wondering about why the PC is OK, it's because Windows handles DNS much more efficiently than OS X.

Regards.

Well, I went the drastic route and formatted the HDD and did a fresh install of OSX, wasn't a big deal the iMac is brand new with next to no files on it anyway.

So, the problem still persists. I tried the above, and nothing, so it must be on their end.

If I were to contact one of the administrators over there, is there anything they could do to help?
