well, now that were talking about this, unless you talk bad about it, i was planning on installing yosemite.
i dont have it on a usb stick just yet... but that can be done easily
Just make sure you have a BOOTABLE stick. There's apps on Macupdate that will let you do this.
You don't want to know my opinion of Yosemite, trust me. I'm seriously considering going back to Mavericks on my iMac. Already have on my Macbook.
That's a whole other thread. You need to install what YOU need/want.
ok, ill have a look there once ive copied all my files. and in that case i will be installing yosemite. i only had it for a couple of days, but all my main programs were running great there. and assuming of course all this problem i had now, was because of me forcing a shut down, and not the os.
and yeah, i just heard about time machine a couple of days ago for the first time, thats why i didnt use it now. but a new HD will shurly be my next purchase
I think your main problem was too much stuff on the drive. The forced shutdown didn't help any.
Anyway, if you need more help just make another post. Or start a new one.
Now back to my regularly scheduled programming (Facebook).
Luck!
ill try to not let it get so full this time.
and i really apreciate your time and help cradom, thanks a lot!!
also thanks to macinwin, to call cradom here aswell
all the best guys!
samuel
@Cradom Nice work there dude. Let it be known though that your attempts to sneak the CLI into the consciousness of the rest of us mere mortals did not go unnoticed. I was starting to get that Unix allergy twitch again.
