Not sure if this is the write sections, so mods feel free to move if needs be.

So i just picked up a macbook pro for travel reasons and to fund this sold my old imac. I am looking for a monitor to use at home for photo/video editing so was wondering if anyone can recommend one with good true colours. My budget is £200ish.

Any brands i should look at/avoid..?

Thanks,

Tyler

For the price you've mentioned, you could afford a high-quality monitor. I like Viewsonic, others have mentioned BenQ and Samsung in glowing terms. The graphics card in your MBPro should drive a sizable screen, eg. 22 or 26". Make sure you get an LED (rather than LCD) monitor that is DVI compatible, and with an HDMI adaptor.
