All good points CR. I am also shocked how many recent Laptops besides Macs still use DDR2 RAM. Apple must of been one of the first out there to switch completely to DDR3.

There were gaming laptops that used DDR3 before apple started to. However they did cost 4k so blah.

If you need to ask "is this graphics card powerfull?" you don't know jack about computers! If you are a video editor, or at least a real one, you will know which computers are the best for the job.....APPLE.....and you will already know what the specs are and don't need to ask stupid questions like that and about processor speed. Going to bestbuy, I always do my own research because the salepeople always make the computers seem better than what they are! They don't care which one is better as long as they make a sale and put money in their pockets! And also, I would have new DDR3 with 2gb than old, outdated ddr2 with 4gb!! Being a youtube video cut and paster doesnt automatically make you a "Movie Editor".....LMAO!!!! I hope she is happy for her new pile of turd I don't want morons owning apple products

I just went to the HP site and configured it as close to the MBP as possible and
guess what the MBP was still 300.00 dollars higher but the HP still lacked things like
ddr3 ram and 6mb cache all while being lighter with a longer lasting battery
and built like a tank so yes I think this is worth the extra 300.00.

I can't remember where I read that the AD agency doing the new comercials
was done on Mac's.

A little late to the game here but you might enjoy reading this. Seems like the MBP isn't as "expensive" as everyone says it is (still expensive but not comparatively).
