Oh, forgot to mention, the G4 is dead.

"Power Mac G4s discontinued...
In announcing the new Power Mac G5 models, Apple also indicated that its remaining Power Mac G4 models have been taken out of production. Since the Power Mac G5's introduction Apple has continued to manufacture and offer a single-processor 1.25GHz Power Mac G4. Apple said the $1,299 Power Mac G4 "will no longer be in production and is available for purchase while supplies last."

My guess is single G5 will soon move to other apple systems. 2.5 GHz model features with liquid cooling system, so I guess heat issue is solved. iMac could be the first with single G5/liquid cooling system. I bet we'll have it in notebooks next year.

I'm thinking we'll see G5 eMac's before we see G5 *books or iMacs. I don't think there is room in the tiny iMac case for a liquid cooling system to be effective.

Unless they do yet another iMac redesign.

that was my thought at first (eMac), but I doubt couse it would rase the prise and will loose the "most afordable" tag. but you never know ;)

Wow, the 2.5Ghz G5 is friggin cool. Major speed bump too, and now you can have a 256MB built to order video card. Makes my 128MB Radeon eat the dust. I think I'll wait another 6 months until the 3Ghz comes out, and get a new G5 then. 500Mhz isn't enough for me to shell out another 3 G's.

Yeah ok true but an G5 cpu with fluid cooler would add a few pounds to the eMac. And "MY GOD LAD", have you ever moved an eMac two staires up, **** thiing is slippery and heavy.

Is there really room in there? I mean it's a CRT, and the eMac itself is just as large as my mothers pc screen (linuX OS ofcource :D )
