I want to reset my macbook pro I bought the other day to new. I read to install the cd and hold C when it boots.

However, I am not getting any options to erase and install. It is just installing and basically everything is the same when its done.

Can someone please help me

When you boot from the CD, you'll see "Utilities" at the top of the screen. Click on it and go to Disk Utility. Find the HD you want to erase and highlight it and then press "Erase".

Once it's done erasing exit the utility and install OS X.

Make sure you have everything that you want backed up.........
