need to make decision...g4 single or dual?

Im looking to purchase a g4 powermac in the next day or so. I will be running mainly photoshop and some video editing applications. My question is would there be much difference between a single w/1gb ram upgrade and a dual w/ 512 mb ram for my purposes? Lets assume that I could never get any more upgrades leaving these as is....which would be more beneficial to me. Ive searched the archives positive that I would find some info, but none could really give the answer im looking for. TIA

Go with the dualie....there's no way you can get 1 gb of ram with it?

I'd say go Dual as well; it should perform noticeably better w/ the way you'd be using it. Plus, on the off chance you did get to upgrade, it'll be cheaper to put in more RAM than to get a processor upgrade.

I was talking with a co-student of mine as well and it seems to be the consensus to go with the dual. It seems logical that I can always upgrade the ram easier than processor. Thanks for the input...im sure Ill be seen on here now that ill be soon recieving my powermac and needing assistance from the forum. Thanks again.
