need help with TC+PC urgent.

hey guys, i got a windows xp based computer and a 1tb timecapsule, how would i go about tranfering music from my pc to the tc? i previously tried doing this but failed. i had installed the airport utility program onto my pc, and which point, i plugged the TC into a power outlet, and an ethernet cord from the ethernet port on the TC to one in my wireless router (linksys). i was able for a short time to copy over items, but it soon dropped connection and i was never able to connect again. now i've tried plugging the tc into the wall, then ethernet (the lan one) to my pc.. but the drive itself doesnt show up when i go look at the drives in "my computer" and the tc itself only flashes amber.
help would be GREATLY appreciated.
