Hello, this is a picture of my logic board (near cpu_fan connector)

I have noticed that L5701 is missing: do you have a detailed picture to identify the correct value (watching it's coluour)?
Or someone know it?

- Are you having problems with your iMac?
- Was this component "there" previously…and now it's missing? If you don't know…maybe it was never there.

You can try going to iFixit.com…check out the photos accompanying the various repair procedures…and see if you can see what you're looking for.

thanks for your reply. Sorry in advance if i make mistakes while writing, i'm Italian

The cpu fan is blowing at full speed (from the moment the mac is booting or while is normally working).
i think it is related somehow with the logic board.

It seems that L5701 in the past was present looking at the solders (maybe this is not related with my problem, but i want to make sure that i don't need this component)

Have you replaced the hard drive at all? Late 2009 iMacs fitted with a hard drive incompatible to Apple's special heat sensors willmake the fans roar like a 747 all the time.
