I love it, it;s sleek and it has a color display, you don;t have to worry about ruining the hard drive (if it falls) and It has enough room for all of my songs! w00t h00t!

I like the look of it but not enough storage for it to be worth it for me. I also think they made a mistake leaving the mini casing style which is much more durable than the regular iPod

Yeah... One of the things that was disapointing about my U2 iPod is how quickly it got all scratched up. Wheras I have a friend with a Mini and it still looks great.

how much will the O.S. occupy? 300mb?

EDIT: the only thing that I don;t like about it is that the headphone jack is on the bottom.

Well I dont want to go hunting around for one, and the closest Apple store is 25 miles away, which I would like to avoid if at all possible.

Exactly, or you could just order it off the Apple Store online. Besides, to be realistic, you aren't going to see these in stores for at least another 2-3 weeks anyway. Might as well just order it online and get it when they finally ship.

Best Buy and Circuit City should probably have them soon.
(Not that I've ever been to one - or America in the last 10 years in fact - I hang around here way too much).

For 250 dollars, i think its much to expensive for 4 gigs, when you can get 20 gigs (16 more for those of you who don't want to to math right now) for only 50 more dollars, and besides, its not that bigger, when would the size of it be an issue, you can probably fit the regular ipod in the same amount of space as the nano, and it only ways a little bit more. and, you won't hsve enough space to put photos AND music on there, so i'll stick with my new 20 gig

Edit: the headphone port is on the bottom? everytime you pull the cables the ipod would come out of your pocket!

Buying One Soon...
Flash memory is expensive. Sony sells one of their 1GB memory stick for $100+. The Nano isn't that expensive when compared to other flash memory.

I'm a proud father of a black 4GB iPod nano. I used a student discount and got it for $229, so it ended up being $244.46 after tax. It won't be arriving as fast as I want it to, because I'm having it engraved.

Come to papa! *claps hands*

I'm thinking about it. Mines old school and I'm mad. I'm getting the phone maybe. Cingular is expensive though, good coverage too, but expensive...
