So, over the past 5-6 months, I think I have had a total of 5 clickwheel freezes.
I decided to record my solution every time I managed to fix it.
This is what I have come up with:
{Solution 1}
-Leave iPod alone for about 2 days.
-Turn the hold switch off and on, but every time you press the hold switch off you should click the center button.
-Repeat for about 5-15 minutes
{Solution 2}
-Restore iPod but DON'T sync any songs onto it.
-Do the hold on and off technique.
{Solution 3}
-Delete iTunes and download the installer.
-Restart your computer.
-Install iTunes.
-Basically do solution 2 after.
{Solution 4}
*I am going to be honest with you, this solution is the weirdest.
-Delete iTunes and download the installer
-Restart your computer
-Install iTunes
-Restore iPod, DON'T sync anything!
-Leave the iPod there for about 8 hours.
-Hit it on the table gently twice.
-Now, if your using a 4G or 5G nano, remove the covers for the bottom and top. (Using a flathead screwdriver.)
-Put your mouth over where the headphone jack is and blow really hard(to get any dust out, try to make sure that your mouth is cleared of spit first.)
-Switch to the top, and suck as hard as you can.
-Go back to headphone jack and suck as hard as you can.
-Go to the top and blow as hard as you can.
-Do the hold off on method once again.
I know that the 4th solution sounds really weird, but it worked for me twice now. So it must mean something.
I am using an iPod Nano 4th Generation.
