Awesome. Let us know how it works out. I've been referring a lot of people there because I've seen the MacService guy on the forums, but haven't had any feedback from people who have actually used their service.

well, I got my laptop back today, its completely fixed, cleaned, and sporting a brand new 320 GB hard drive. I'm a happy customer.

Wow! That was pretty darned quick. Very nice - glad to hear you're happy with the repairs. I will be sure to recommend MacService.com again in the future!

Wow. This entire thread is a plug for Spek cases, isn't it?

and your macbook is fine. Its a dent. These things happen. Just don't drop that thing anymore and it will run fine.
My old macbook pro looked worse than that and I just liked it more because I could tell it was mine. And it proves how robust the design is.
If you do get a new one. The unibody was apple's response to that particular problem. Dents like that dont happen when the device is all one piece.

Wow, re-reading this thread brings back memories. The thread was not a plug for speck cases. I ended up buying a speck case, but I stopped using it after a month or so, I just didn't like the feel of it.

My MPB was never quite the same after the drop. The optical drive stopped working, and my GPU failed on me twice (although I'm not sure of that was drop related being as NVIDIA admitted to having faulty GPU's in that model).

I ended up replacing that MBP with a mid 2008 unibody model.

Recently I've sold that MBP as well, and I know have a 21.5 inch iMac for my home computing, and an iPad for when I'm on the go.
