my imac screen is very dark..please help me

i bought this intel core 2 duo imac off someone
it's the 2 ghz edition..

and the screen is very un-apple like
it's very dark and blurry

any help would be much appreciated

f14 - to dim

f15 - to brighten

could have been hit by accident.
