The Apple Image Write was the $###nat in the day! I use to have one that I bought when from our middle school's sale. That thing sounded a a factory was running in my room. I miss is. I still have tons of paper for it!

Yeah, I love printing on it... the screaming drives the cats crazy. The dog just barks at it.

It's funny, I've already got 3 messages on eBay asking if I will ship the whole setup. It's apparent that people can't read anymore.

I'll be curious to hear if you sell it. I've still got a ton of old Apple ][ stuff I need to sell but haven't had the energy to do it yet ;)

You state that as if I'm only supposed to have one.

They can read, they just don't care. After auction after auction of local pick up only on an item that never seems to come up in their area a buyer is going to either end up giving up on ever getting it or they'll start asking sellers if they really really really won't ship it. I've done that and I've convinced sellers to be willing to ship items in the past.

If they really want it, I'd personally tell them that I'd only do it if they're willing to pay a $10 per package handling fee for taking the time to pack it up and cost of packing materials and tell them how much it's likely to cost and see if they can really go for it(by the way, I find FedEx Home tends to usually beat all other options on large heavy packages) I'd also tell them they can decline to take any part of the auction at no discount on the purchase price to save on shipping. Most would probably not care much for the printer... and then you can hook the printer up to an old Mac or something and continue freaking out the cats.

Personally I like printing banners and some other things using my IIgs and the ImageWriter II. I have SuperConvert3200 which can open jpgs and a a 3.5 drive card for using HD floppy drives. I've opened pictures I've taken with my Sony Mavica and printed them on the Image Writer II just because I could.

the last time I posted a IIgs setup for sale it took several months for it to sell and I wound up selling it to someone halfway across the country who paid as much in shipping as they did for the purchase itself.
