Too many...
I won't be parting with that beast any time soon. At the very least I will wait and see if there will be further updates to that line. I would probably still have my "cheese grater" G5 if it had not already suffered a demise.

Since I have a clone of that machine already the worst that's likely to happen is it won't work.

I love my cheese graters! It will have to fall apart before I get rid of them. I don't care what OS they can/can't run...it's bullet proof!

Agreed. it is getting harder for me to justify the price difference between the iMac and Mac Pro lines though. Other than to satisfy my need to tinker. Switching to iMac would also mean replacing a video capture card.

I still never understood why they called the poor thing a Cheese Grater! Poor machine. I love the looks of that case.

Actually, the GMA X3100 is not a bad integrated chipset. The only problem with it is it won't "borrow" enough memory from the system, otherwise it would perform a lot better. I used it for everything including Windows Doom (running XP) on my 2008 MacBook before I sold it. It performed well with the updated graphic drivers from Intel.

Agreed and a driver is being worked on for ML by 3rd parties. I hope they Succeed as I love my late 2007 Macbook. :D

It does perform well, but you're right, it should borrow more than 144MB of memory. I'm planning on upgrading to 6GB soon, once that's done, I would have no problem if the graphics card borrowed up to even a gig.
