I want to install mojave on my a1369 2011 mac book air.

It should run with no issues.

Where an I get a genuine version of mojave, I have a friend with a mac book pro if that helps.

You don't mention which OS your Mac is currently running, but as your Mac cannot run macOS Mojave, you may find this link helpful:

How to upgrade to OS X El Capitan - Apple Support

It tells you how to upgrade to El Capitan. However, it may be that your are running El Capitan or higher already in which case, you are likely stuck with that OS.

Perhaps you can help us by telling us more about your current OS please.
