hi guys
i am a new mac user and last night i transfered my pics from pc to my macbook , over 8000 pics , took almost 1 and half hr , but had to do it to back them up on dvd.
a quick q's , wut is the life of a dvd disk which we burn on mac, does it vary brand to brand , i use sony Dvd + R .
and then i moved the pics to IPHOTO library , i did not know that its gonna take another 1 hr
but now its one huge library of over 8000 pics , taking up tooo much space on my hard drive now ,
is there any easy way to make sub libraries?
i hv deleted the original the original folders from desktop to free up space but i do need to trim down my main library but it seems a huge task.
are there any tricks about iphoto to do so, any short cuts?
ohh yeah am loving the macbook , hooked up to TV to run slide shows and love it loads.
one last q's i hv canon optura XI , can i hook it up to my macbook and edit videos which are saved on mini dv tapes?
any help wud be appreciated .
regards
sak
