Hi,

I have a MacBook that I about half a year ago, and recently I have been noticing it won't be putting all the songs in my iTunes onto my 30GB iPod Video. The laptop has iTunes 7.1.

I have 3600 songs exactly, and on the iPod it shows that there's only 3462 songs.

What could cause some songs to not sync to the iPod?

Also, I use the iPod in my car most of the time (on an Alpine deck with a dock connector). I noticed with the deck, if the song doesn't have an album name it won't be able to play it. That was easily fixed though (Unknown Album).

:(

G'day jensklemp_460,

Welcome to Mac-Forums! Have you verified that any songs which aren't being downloaded to your iPod are in the right format? Not WMA's ...

Also, are those songs able to be played on your MacBook through iTunes?

Another thing is that the link between the song in iTunes' library and your Hard Drive could be broken?

I also have the same problem. iTunes shows that I have 3699 songs, but my iPod shows only 3695. Also one of my TV shows in iTunes won't download to the iPod either.

Is there an easy way to figure out what songs are missing and then try to pinpoint the problem from there?

add another here.

I have 8600 songs, but only 8400 are actually on my iPod. I didn't get any error messages and I checked all the formats and they are all either AAC or MP3

I don't get it. but since I'm totally OCD, it's driving me insane to have missing songs. lol.

I Hear You!

I wish i had a solution for you guy but i am in the same boat

I have checked everything any other forum has said from format and version incompatibility to physical ipod damage

Heres the results

My Itunes library is sitting at 11,972 Songs

My Ipod Video 9,327

My Ipod Classic 9,327

So I am possitive the problem is with tunes and not our ipods, i just don't know why.
