I have this cable setup : Mini display port to dvi > dvi to vga adapter > vga to vga display cord > monitor

My macbook can display settings of each monitor I try to connect my macbook to, but it won't display. I try to use mirroring but that won't work either. Help? On the monitor it will just show as no vga detected, but my macbook can read the settings to each monitor.

That adapter/cabling setup will not work.

The mini displayport to DVI adapter only outputs a digital signal - no analog signal, so there is no signal being sent to your TV.
