Migrating Firfox Profile

I want to move my Firefox profile from Xubuntu to Mac. Mozilla's support page indicates I'm suppose to look for either ~/Library/Mozilla/ or ~/Library/Application Support/.

I don't have a Mozilla folder on either paths.

Help please? I have Yosemite.

You do have Firefox installed? If so, then you are looking in the wrong "Library". You need the Library folder located in your user account which is hidden by default - don't ask why Apple decided they need to hide the users Library but give access to the root Library folder - who knows?

When you see the tilde (~), that is the shortcut for /Users/Your user account/.

Open Finder, click on the "Go" button on the menu bar, press the "option" key on the Keyboard - your user account Library folder will then appear in the list. I "think" the profile is kept in the ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox folder.

I'm guessing that this is an issue of permissions - your users needs read/write permissions to ~/Library whereas /Library is read-only for all users (except for root). Hiding ~/Library is a way to account for the read/write permissions.

#tag, you most certainly have ~/Library/Application Support/ but the folder on your Mac that you're looking for in there is called Firefox, not Mozilla.
