Microphone for MacBookPro 15'' 2016 with Touchbar?

Hey guys,

I am doing some music stuff with friends and wanted to buy a microphone. After some looking I found this one:

The problem is, it sounds like your nose is stuffed (sorry for the english here). I sent it back.

This is where my questions come in mind:
-> Which Microphone do you use for the MPB? (since it only has one audio jack)
-> Could you show me one?
-> Do I need an extra USB-Soundcard like sent with the Microphone from Amazon? (it was handy, so I could also plug in my earbuds, since it is only one jack on the MPB - I need them while recording)
-> Why did this one microphone sound so weird?

For recording I use Amadeus and Audacity.

It shouldn't be too expensive, since this is a just a small hobby...

Welcome to Mac-Forums..

Can't help you with any specific microphone, but the single jack can support a microphone alone, headphones alone or a combination based on the jack. You might want to explore microphones that are USB based and have high gain for audio recording, perhaps those will be less muffled or stuffy. Also, how is your recording environment?
