I have read quite alot about MBP's running hot. But was wondering what is a normal temperature for idle/load?
At the moment (with firefox and entourage open) im at the following temps (using iStat Pro):

CPU: 61 degrees
Enclosure base: 44 degrees
GPU diode: 72 degrees
HDD: 44 degrees

Is this normal? because its quite hot to touch and I have it on for 11 hours a day, 5 days a week. Its not going to damage the components is it?

I have been working for a few hours now and my temps are:

CPU - 49
Enclosure - 31
GPU Diode - 57
HDD - 33

When I notice it getting hot or if I want to work with it on my lap I use smcFanControl and crank the fans up to 4000 RPM. Works great. You should be fine though!
