MBP 15 2.4 Ram & Battery

I need to replace the battery in my macbook pro(2007), and upgrade the ram, which I believe is expandable to 4g. I'd like to know where the best place is to buy these accessories besides apple obviously. Im especially interested in a company who sells a better performing battery than the one by apple, or are they all the same? Do you notice any significant difference in the added ram?

As for the performance you see out of Ram, it depends on how you use you MBP.
