Well, new MBP arrived yesterday (ordered on-line last Fri...it shows the following Mon), so far so good. Pretty dang stoked :yinyang:

Got most of my stuff moved over by 02:00 this morning and had force myself to sleep for a few hours.

One issue I am having is with my Netgear wireless router. Have used it religiously on all my PCs w/o issue. Couldn't get this airport card to connect to save my butt (WEP 128). My ISPs wireless is setup the same and I was able to connect to it no problem. Ideas?

Also, I ran a little homegrown app in the PC world called Custody Calendar. It kept track of visitation, events, child support, etc. The beauty was it's ability to create reports for a judge if needed. I was able to save the raw data, but am looking for a similar app in mac-land.

Thanx!!

Congrats!!!!

Set your security to WPA2... WEP is worthless!!! No security at all with WEP.

After changing to WPA, you'll be wireless.

Will that effect the remaining PCs trying to connect to it?

Parallels is on my list too...($$$)

You'll need to re-set the windows machines to WPA if they are wireless... But you should be doing that anyway. Breaking (if it can even be called that) a WEP network is probably easier than posting an image on the forums... Literally.

You just need to change the way the PC connects to WPA2 instead of WEP.

Thanks, I've been using WEP forever but made the change per your recommendation. However, my router (Belkin) doesn't list WPA2. My choices are "WPA-PSK (no server)" and "WPA with Radius Server." So I chose the "no server" option and set my Mac to WPA.

Welcome! Get Parallels and you can run Windows programs natively.
Boot Camp + Parallels = running natively (though with BootCamp, you don't NEED Parallels. they just play nice together now).
Parallels, VMWare Fusion, Q = all good options for running Windows.
