It works for me with the same versions. Try emptying the cache. Click on "Safari" on top bar, then "Clear history."

Works perfectly on my M1 MBP but I don't believe I am using the same web browser, what browser are you using and what macOS?

No issues for me as well in a couple of browsers.

Is this the only site that you're having issues loading?

When I try to go to Macworld.com it will not load.

It's currently working for me, but some of the test sites I tried said it was down, but most say it's currently up and working, and maybe you could check with some of them:

It's up according to here:
And this site says it is now up which it didn't do previously when I first tried:
tps://isitup.rg/ (outdated link removed)

Thanks you all for your responses.
I just tried Macworld again and it started just like my original screen shot. I left my MacBook open with safari open to macworld.com.
When I returned to the Mac Macworld had loaded, but when I clicked a link within the Macworld site the whole sight froze.
I clicked the "X" in the address bar and tried to load the site again. This just started the same cycle again .
Any ideas??

Open the Terminal window and enter the following command tell us what you see.

OK, so that tells us that you can resolve the website and have decent response times. Do try another browser to see if it's isolated to the browser or something else.

Adblocker? Antivirus software? Something is blocking the site from loading for you.

That is confusing since you can resolve the domain to an IP, so the underlying networking is working, but something else is blocking things.

Please try this again in a Safari Private Window, or Chrome Incognito Window, and whatever Firefox calls it to see if anything changes.

Do any other sites work, like apple Etc???

I often just use their site if and when I ever have trouble connecting to some other sites:

One time several years ago I tried the Canadian site and couldn't get through and finally discovered their site was down which is very very unusual. Live and learn not everything always works the way one expects.

I tried using a Safari Private Window, and Macworld opened instantly.

OK, that's helpful. Not sure how yet. 😃

Traditionally in private windows, most extensions don't work since they are not given access to the data to do any sort of filtering. So it's possible that one of your extensions is giving you grief, so you might want to start by disabling all of them, confirm Macworld opens up in a regular window. Then, one by one, enable extensions and retest. That should help narrow down the culprit.

The only extension I have is 1Password for Safari. I uninstalled the 1Password for Safari app, emptied the trash, cleared the browsing history, checked the extension tab to make sure the extension was gone, which it was. I then shut down the computer to clear the memory, then tried to open Macworld.com again. The result was the same.

After opening Macworld.com in a private browsing window this morning I went back to my homepage and tried to open Macworld in a private window again. The site would not open again.

This is a really looooong shot, but...

Sometimes sites will block certain IP addresses if they receive abuse from those addresses. Unfortunately, most ISPs assign your IP from a block that they have reserved, and if someone in that block is blocked for that abuse, you get caught up in it as well. Now, technically, I think private browsing is supposed to hide the IP for you, but it may not be doing so properly for you. You can try a VPN to "hide" your IP and pop into the internet somwhere else outside your immediate location. As I said, it's a long shot, but at this point you have little to lose to try it.

Good thought Jake, however then the private window wouldn't have worked.

Is this the only site you have issues loading?
