Bare Feats should have this info for you shortly, but I wouldn't expect huge gains.

The Core iX chips' appeal isn't that they are hugely faster, its that they are more efficient. There's a difference. Yes, you'd generally some some speed pickup, but not "blow the doors off" difference. It's more about the overall smoothness of operations rather than raw speed.

The primary place you'll see any difference at this point in time will be video encoding, but only with apps that have been optimized for multiple cores.

You'll not notice any difference in your typical everyday tasks, i.e. mail, browsing, listening to music, watching a video, etc.
