MacBook won't take Memorex Blank CD-Rs

Hi,

I am a new-mac user and I have been trying to burn some CDs on my new MacBook. I have a stack of the Memorex Blank CD-Rs left and I really wanted to use them. They are the ones with the bottom portion where you write the CDs are black. I am not sure if that makes a difference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All I can tell you is I have had bad luck with some Memorex CD's and DVD's in the past and found also my iMac G5 iSight's burner does not like them much at all.
