My macbook was working great and then everything went funny... i had to manually shut it down and when i went to restart it nothing happened. It wont boot or do anything, i can get the mouse key by holding the option key down... i dont have the installation cds or a firewire cable with me because i am on vacation. i need to do some office work and need any help possible that can get my mac working fast. I am on an island and i am not in reach of an apple genuis bar at the moment. I need to do this manually and am willing to try what ever means necessary just with the tools i have which is a mac, battery, charger, ipod, and ipod usb connector. Help Please!!!

Without the original install disks, it will be very hard to confirm a problem, but it sounds quite serious. It could be the logic board, but more likely it is the hard drive. How old is your macbook?
