macbook warranty

Im thinking about purchasing my first mac.....my question is I want to try and find a macbook thats still under the 1 year warranty so I can buy the Applecare warranty.

I found a place that sells macbooks that were previous leased to companies and they dont know if its still under warranty or not.

Its a 2.2 black macbook and from everything Ive read on the net it seems they were released in Nov. '07 so shouldnt every 2.2 black macbook be under the 1 year warranty??

If you can get the serial number from the laptop you can call one of the apple stores and they will be able to check it up, if it is inside warranty or not.
