Hello again,
Am now a committed Apple guy. In the four years since I got my Macbook, never had a problem.
I tend to sleep it, rather than shut it down, although will shut it down every so often, if I'm going away etc.
One of the joys of coming from Windows was the faster start up time and the very fast shut down or sleep time.
But now, it's starting to hang, before it shuts down. Sleep is usually pretty instant, but it sometimes hangs, too.
The desktop icons all disappear, but the desktop picture stays on for - (it varies) - but can be a couple of minutes.
I haven't added any new stuff recently and I always quit programs before shutting down.
My question is - where should I start looking for the cause of this issue?
(It's a back-handed compliment to Apple, that I have no idea where to look or what to do. With Windows I knew the system back to front. I had to because it had problems SO often)
All advice welcomed.
Thanks in advance.
