After a relatively recent OS update (a couple of revs before current Sonoma 14.1.2) my 2021 14" Macbook Pro with M1 Pro with an external monitor stopped falling asleep. Before it was reliable - set for 20 min of inactivity, and the screen went blank. Not anymore. Yes, sometimes it does it now, but more often than not the screen remains on. I even make a conscious effort to shut down the monitor when I leave my office.

I read help, googled many sites, and still no go. Maybe there is somebody knowledgeable on this group who could suggest a solution?
