Hello there!

I just bought a used Macbook pro retina, it was my business workstation, but the technician guy, who managed the process, awared me, that the battery should be changed, because it is dangerous. Last time, when I checked the battery life cycle, it was about 600-700 charging. I checked the battery, but I don't see, that it would be swolled. I don't want to visit an official Apple service yet (they has a ca. 50$ "inspection fee" ***..).
As first step, could you please check the attached photos and could you please share your opinion with me, that the battery are really swolled or not?
Thanks in advance!

It looks swollen to me. If you put the back on, then lay a ruler/straightedge across the keyboard surface, just between the keys and trackpad, it should lie absolutely flat, no gap at any point, no rocking. If it is not absolutely flat, the battery is swollen and pushing up the case.

EDIT: I should also have said "Welcome to the forum!"

I see that your home country is Hungary. If your local Apple Service Provider is open and accepting appointments, you should have that battery checked. Although it's rated for 1000 cycles, it does look like it may be swollen somewhat. And since that battery is glued to the chassis and difficult to change, you should have Apple check it out.

Thank you very much for your feedback! :)

Fortunately it's absolutely flat, I don't see any deformation from outside, and the battery fits finely in the case.

Yes, I think I should visit an official service, because already two of you told me, that the battery is swollen. I checked videos, who to replace the battery, but... no way.. It is f*!@*% ridiculous, that battery is glued to the chassis. But at least, the service provides a 6 month guarantee. But it is strange, that I don't experience any battery weakness, I could work on it for 6-7 hours, without power cable.

as others have said the battery is swollen

I can see it from the images normally there is no humps in the pack,

best bet is to get it replaced before it gets any worse as it will eventually cause the case to deform.

let us know how you get on.
