Hello,
I just wanted to get some opinions on some issues with the new MacBook Pros that I'm a little unfamiliar with.
I got the new 2.2GHz Core i7 15" MacBook Pro yesterday and it's very different from my old 2.66 Core 2 Duo MacBook.
It gets so hot so easily. Even on light applications the fans will randomly race up the RPM to 5000-6000 momentarily. Is that normal? I've done some reading around and I understand that the fan is balancing the demand from the Turbo Charge feature?
As for the charge time, it's pants! On a full charge tonight I got 2.5 hours whilst just browsing the web and listening to music. Is that normal? Is it just because the i7 processor is so power hungry? And as for charging it back up, the time display in the menu keeps bouncing between 3-6 hours? My old Mac used to consistently say around 1.5-2 hours! But I've heard that the 85W MagSafe adapters can't charge the battery and power the i7?
Don't mind if that's normal now, just wanted to know!
Any help very welcome!
