Macbook pro mid 2015 with Syncmaster B2440

I though I could use this Samsung monitor as a secondary monitor or even in mirror mode but I can't. It shows digital snowish noise and the macbook pro gets slow.

Is there some things a monitor has to have to be used with this mac?

I followed the steps but the problem persists. Probably it's a problem with the monitor with the macbook. It works well with the pc at the same resolution.

I tested the macbook with the HD television and it works well too.

Only the pair macbook+samsung monitor is not working.

When I used my 2011 MBP with an external monitor using a Mini Display Port to HDMI cable, I had to reset the SMC two or three times to get it to work. I also had to do it after some of the major Mac OS X upgrades.
