I am very new to this website, so I apologize if question has been posted before. I got my macbook pro in 2011, it has taken me this long to figure out a lot of the things it can do because I am not very tech savvy. Today, after being off for a few days I turned my computer on and once it got to my home background it flashed between gray and my background several times before completely booting up. I thought it was a goner! It is running fine now, but I am very worried as I do not have the money to buy a new computer. I am curious if this has happened to anyone else, if anyone knows what this is about, or if there is something possibly wrong with my computer. Thanks!

G'day and elcome to the forums.

If you are concerned and running OS X.7 or later, your thread does not tell us this vital information, go into Recovery and check out the status of the hard drive by running 'Reair Disk' in Disk Utility. You have to do this in Recovery as you cannot repair a drive you are booted from.
