Macbook parts in Japan?

Hi there,

as many others, I'm having a noisy fan problem with my 13" Macbook (no warranty, two years old). I'd like to replace it by myself (I have taken the fan out once, removed large amounts of dust that insulated the heatsink and even opened the fan case to remove all the dust with a soft brush, following the instructions on ifixit.com).
Does anybody know a place in Japan that sells Macbok parts in the Tokyo/Kanagawa area? I was going to order it from powerbookmedic.com, but since I don't have a credit card (or any other of the fast payment methods) available, I figured it'd be easier and cheaper for me to get one locally. I can't read Japanese, so I find it hard to find information on this from Japanese Apple forums, shop websites etc.
Any advice is much appreciated.

I spent enough time in the Tokyo area to know that most everyone there speaks English. And yes, they do have places that repair and sell Apple hardware including computers. Shouldn't be difficult to find a store or repair center where you can buy the parts you need.

There's also several large US military installations in the Tokyo Kanagawa area where you can surely find a repair shop that speaks English and will sell you the part.

Or, you can order the parts stateside and have them shipped to you via air.

Hi, thanks for answering. I was kinda hoping for an easier way to get that part quickly, without having to run around Akiba or elsewhere and then trying to find a place where they do sell it plus understand me. Did you stay in Yokosuka? Know of a place that's worth a try there or near there? Would be easier for me than Tokyo. Also, if anyone else has any more information, I'd still appreciate help.

First try the softmap sole store in akihabara. It's on the main street. They never speak English though. There is also an apple repair centre too in akihabara. It's very close to the main street. Again no English.

Also try yahoo auctions, there are always logicboards on there. My Japanese is pretty low but if I can help please let me know.

Trying to speak Japanese is the best way to learn. That's how I got thought the last 3 years in Tokyo. I aviod English speakers and speak Japanese as much as I can.
