Hello, I bought a 13" retina macbook pro 10 days ago so I still have 4 days to return it.
So I have 2 options:
1) get the updated macbook pro
2) return my laptop, get a refund and wait for the macbook to be released in the Uk, probably in a month from now.

0,9 kg looks very tempting but is it the only advantage of the new macbook?
I had a look at the processors and they seem to have a huge difference from pro (1.1Gh versus 2.7). But is it that they have a different kind of processor?

So my main question is: should I return my pro and wait for the new macbook? Do I sacrifice a lot of specs for less weight? Or is it that it is just a whole new technology that cannot be compared to the pro?

Thank you for your time

If you have concerns…then return your current computer…and wait for some professional reviews of the new models. Then you can make an informed decision.

At this point it is too early to concretely say anything definite (IMHO).

Only you know what you need. It's not our job nor place to dictate what you should buy. If you need power, get the more powerful one. If you absolutely need the most portability possible and are ready to sacrifice that power to get it, then get the lighter, thinner one.

Or just keep what you bought and be happy. It's not going to turn into a smoldering pile of raw sewage on your kitchen floor just because a new one came out.
