Your Mac's Specs
Apple MacBook Pro 15 in. 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 4g ram DDR3 and 320gig HDD
If you are asking about adapters and cables, you would need to buy either a DVI or VGA cable (recommended DVI if your tv has a port for that) and lastly an adapter for the cable you chose found here

mac sharp lcd

I am confused as to what adapter to use,,,Originally i read to use mini dvi to vga

then read another post to use mini dvi to video adapter as as vga was only for a monitor.

So i bought a mini Dvi to video adapter, while searching internet to find how to connect to tv came across another post that dvi to video adapter would not give proper resolution on high definition tv and should use Dvi to hdmi adapter?
Any suggestions

No one can provide you with accurate detail without the following info:

Which MacBook model you have - either year and processor speed or if you know, what video port is on your MB - the two options are mini-DVI and mini-displayport.

The model # of your Sharp TV.

Do you want sound from the TV or a separate audio receiver?

You can use either VGA or HDMI with your Sharp.

With VGA, you'll need a mini-DVI to VGA adapter and a VGA cable. The max supported resolution of the TV via VGA in 16:9 mode is 1360 x 768. For audio, you'll use a 3.5mm stereo minijack cable.

With HDMI, you'll need the mini-DVI to HDMI adapter and a HDMI cable in whatever length you need. Still need the same audio cable and it connects to the same input.

For the sound to work with HDMI, you'll need to connect to the HDMI port # 6.
you'll then also have to set "PC Audio Select" in the menu to Input 6 (HDMI).

For more info, see pages 13, 28 & 42 in your Sharp owner's manual. You can download it from here if it's been misplaced.
