Hi. The battery on my Macbook Air 2017 13" is dead after 10 minutes. Pretty poor considering I have a 2009 Macbook which still works! I'm unsure of the correct battery number to order. Is it a A1466? There's no information in 'about this mac' Thanks!

Before replacing, dig a little deeper into the battery health. Coconut Battery is a free utility that can provide a good bit of detail about it.

Since you live in the UK, your MBA 2017 13" should still be under warranty with Apple (even if you did not buy Applecare). Contact Apple support about checking the battery and replacing it if it is indeed defective. The battery should give you at least 1000 cycles according to Apple.

Thanks, but I live in Spain now so I've ordered a new on from Green Cell. 3 years is very poor though. Wish this Macbook was every bit as good as my 2009 model!

Sorry about that. Your profile still shows as UK. And you're right about the battery, it should last longer than 3 years.
