Hi everyone,
Trying to sort out an issue on a 2014 macbook air A1466. The issue I'm running into is that it keeps falling asleep even while in use. The timings in between each time it falls aleep are random and very quick. So I'm suspecting the HAL sensor.
Power settings are set to never go to sleep, already did a PRAM reset as well as the SMC Reset.
Is there anything I haven't thought of? Or does this seem like a definite HAL Sensor problem? Any way to disable it or is it a replaceable part?

Take a look at this:

You can also go to www.ifixit.com and look for other solutions. They will also have step by step instructions for replacing the HAL switch.

Yeah sounds like that could be it. This person had the same symptoms on a 2010 MBA:

I found this solution for your model at iFixit:

Doesn't look like it would be that difficult to replace. If you do replace the I/O board I suggest also replacing the cable too.
