Mods I am new to the forum so if this is a no-no please delet, I just purchased a MBP 15" 2.4ghz and the person I purchased it from did not have he restore DVD and I am trying to install XP on to bootcamp and it needs the original restore DVD due to the different broadcomm wireless drivers.
The MBP was purchased in March of this year (from the previous owner) so I am not sure what Apple's policy is on replacing the DVD, any help would be appreciated or info, thank you

You'll need to contact Apple for replacement System Discs. This is important because the System Discs not only contain the original OS, but also diagnostic tools and the iLife suite. It will run you around $40 for replacements.

I'm not sure if that's something the retail stores would have in stock. I would give Apple's tech support line a call and check before you make the trip.

I just called applecare and they said that it would cost me $17 to replace the DVD, syill a bargain seeing as how the 2.4ghz, 2mb of ram, 200b HD that was purchased in March of 2008 that I only paid $600 for is still a deal!!
