Heres an odd one.
I have just updated my tom-tom and when I unplugged the usb the Mac rebooted. At first I thought the 2 couldn't be connected, so once it was back on I connected the Tom-tom again and then disconnected. Guess what. The Mac rebooted again.
Has anyone got any ideas as I am at a loss with this one.

This is post Yosemite update by the way.

It sounds like your Tom Tom may not be compatible with Yosemite or you're not properly ejecting the Tom Tom before disconnecting it.
