Mac/PC networking

I have tried to network my mac and pc together. I am able to access my macbook from the pc network page, but the pc doesn't show up on the mac. Any ideas?

On Vista do you have sharing enabled and drives shared? Is the firewall set to allow file sharing?

yes, firewall is set to allow file sharing which is turned on. I believe the drives are shared. How do I check?
