First of all, this is an operator error issue - as in me.

I've been able to view and browse my external drives in the MAC OS Finder sidebar area.

I've done something - I don't know what - and now I cannot see any of my external drives in that area. I'll admit that I was "poking around" the app and I know I did something wrong.

It's probably a simple thing, but I cannot make those external drives visible no matter what I do.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Well, we all do something stupid; few admit it. But you may not have erred.

Try this:

Open Finder. Then go to Finder Preferences (one way is to click on the Finder Icon in the Top Menu Bar and, from the dropdown, choose Preferences. Or you could use the Keyboard shortcut - Command plus comma).

Once in Finder Preferences, Click on Sidebar, and make sure that, under locations, Hard Disks and External Disks are ticked.

See if that solves your problem. Please post back anyhow.

With your assistance and a few indescribable 4-letter words, it's fixed.

Thanks for the response!
