Mac Haters

I don't really "hate" a certain OS, many of them have their advantages/disadvantages, just seems that Windows has more disadvantages.

I used to dual-boot Linux/Windows back in the day, but the filing system for Linux confused me too much and I could never seem to grasp it. So I went back to Windows and finally got a Mac because I was familiar with OSX.

I say you should use the best tool for the job.

I started out on Macs, mainly because that's what my family had (dad's a graphic designer and my mum used to do the page layout for an art magazine and some other local businesses). Through primary school I didn't need a computer of my own, and whenever I "needed" a computer the Mac was more than enough.

Then in high school, the only IT stuff we did was MS Office; so I got a cheap PC of my own and that was good enough. Later, as school was coming to an end and I wanted to upgrade, I strongly considered going back to Mac. I went for a PC because at that point I could build my own, and have a machine that would do everything I wanted for half the price of a basic Mac.

After I finished school however my needs changed as I headed towards a career in media production. The usual el cheapo PC with Office and a browser just wouldn't cut it, so I went back to Mac.

As it stands I don't see myself ever going back to Windows, however if Microsoft happened to come out with an OS in the future that was "better" for my needs, then I'd be stupid not to use it.

Anyone that insists on picking a side is going to miss out on some cool stuff.
