I don't get this at all. Whenever I click on the link it tells me to choose an application? What kind of chat is this? ... I'm a little confused here.... Hmmm...

What link? Do you know what IRC chat is? And yes, you do need an IRC Application. IRC has been this way for 15 years or so.

Sorry. I mean the link in the first post. No I don't know what IRC is. I just thought it was your typical web page based chat.

Ok, that makes sense. Yes, you need an IRC Application. Many here use Colloquy. You have to set it up for freenode and our channel that is in the first link. We normally meet as a group 5PM (PST) 8PM (EST) on Sunday evening (which means tonight). You are welcome to join us if you can get the IRC client set up. If you need help, just ask.

I just tried to log into the chat room with #Mac-Forums as the server on Colloquy. And it's not working. What's up with it? Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong.

#mac-forums is the room, you need freenode.net as the server.
